In Denmark, we are unfortunately far behind in terms of how important and how powerful our nervous system is built into our body.

The nervous system has a lot of responses and signals that affect your whole body depending on whether you are in constant "danger" or whether you are calm in and around you.

There are actually an incredible number of people who, since childhood, have had a nervous system that is always on alert.

Many people actually don't even know that this alert state is not their "original" state of being in the world.

How would you know otherwise when no one talks or tells you about it?

Your nervous system tries to protect you through your psyche and bodily signals.

There are the following defense mechanisms:

Match

Escape

Freeze

Crawl (people please)

And then there is the overlooked one which is

Collapse

If you know about all these wild mechanisms the body uses to protect you from "danger", you will also know that the body remembers everything that your psyche does not and you will know that our body is super intelligent.

What you may not know is that in many cases the nervous system is also the same mechanism behind depression, anxiety, ADHD and dissociation.

Chronic fatigue- sadness- stagnation etc etc

Not that diagnoses don't exist, because they are real enough.

However, the world of science is beginning to see that these defense mechanisms are much more widespread and controlling in our bodies than previously believed.

I am in the process of writing another book on this topic because over the years I have gained massive insight into our nervous system and how we are actually affected in our daily activities by constantly being "unconsciously" on guard and scanning our surroundings.

It's super exciting and if you want, remember that I offer sessions where we work into our nervous system and work on releasing depression, anxiety, overthinking, etc.

Hope you have a nice day out there 🥰
